As we modernize our legacy systems and integrate cutting-edge IoT technologies, we seek a talented Software Developer to support our digital transformation and drive innovation in our processes.

The successful candidate will play a key role in modernizing our software infrastructure, integrating IoT solutions into industrial processes, and supporting the development of a robust digital manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Microsoft technologies, experience with IoT applications in manufacturing, and a passion for driving efficiency through technology.

This role is based out of our Collingwood, ON location at 20 Stewart Drive.

Start Date: Immediate

Hours of Work: This is a full-time position working 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities for this position include:

• Develop, enhance, and maintain software solutions for process monitoring and control (e.g., kilns, poling tanks, pressure vessels, and other IoT-enabled systems).
• Modernize legacy systems and integrate them into a cohesive, scalable architecture using the MS ecosystem and Azure services.
• Design, build, and maintain Power Platform Apps to streamline business operations and improve user efficiency.
• Leverage GitHub for version control, collaboration, and code management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, production, and quality) to identify software needs and deliver innovative solutions.
• Implement and maintain IoT applications, including sensor integration, data acquisition, and real-time monitoring.
• Ensure robust cybersecurity practices are in place to protect sensitive data and systems.
• Document software development processes and provide technical support to end-users as needed.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and recommend solutions to improve business outcomes.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience: 3-5 years of professional software development experience, with a focus on the MS ecosystem and IoT solutions.
• Proficiency in:
  • Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
  • Azure services (e.g., Azure IoT Hub, Azure Functions, Azure DevOps).
  • GitHub for version control and collaboration.
  • Developing and integrating IoT systems and working with industrial sensors and data protocols (e.g., OPC UA, MQTT).
  • Strong programming skills in C#, Python, or other relevant languages.
  • Familiarity with SQL databases and data modeling.
  • Experience in modernizing legacy systems and integrating them with new technologies.
• Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards and regulatory compliance related to manufacturing and data handling.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles in industrial settings.
  • Familiarity with machine learning or AI applied to IoT data.
